About the Opportunity - AR Accountant
A growing hospitality organization in downtown Nashville is seeking a detail-oriented AR Accountant to manage accounts receivable operations and support the financial health of multiple business units.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with operations leadership, and contribute to accurate financial reporting and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities - AR Accountant
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer account inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate AR records, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile customer accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
- Generate AR reports and provide analysis to accounting and finance leadership.
- Collaborate with hotel, restaurant, or hospitality operations teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.
- Support audits and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support special projects and provide Task Force accounting assistance during periods of high volume or operational need.
Qualifications - AR Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
- Hospitality industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of AR processes, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation when working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with month-end close, reporting, and financial statement support is a plus.
