Deputy Clerk Position for Appellate Court Clerk’s Office Available in Nashville
The Office of the Appellate Court Clerk is seeking a qualified person for the position of Deputy Clerk at the Supreme Court Building in Nashville. This position works under the direction of the Clerk and the Chief Deputy Clerk. The duties for this position primarily include bookkeeping, administrative and clerical duties. Other duties that may be assigned include filing and processing of all records, briefs, motions, orders, opinions, judgments, mandates and other documents filed in the appellate courts of the State.
In particular, the work requires knowledge and skill in data entry and organizational skills with an emphasis on details. It is preferred but not required that applicants have experience in Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior bookkeeping work or administrative work experience with the judicial system in Tennessee is also preferred.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Salary for this position is negotiable depending upon prior relevant work experience.
