Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST

Candidates must currently reside in Tennessee or establish Tennessee residency prior to the start date.
The Administrative Services Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Division of Community Health Services Credentialing Team. This position primarily supports medical and dental credentialing and recredentialing activities, including processing documentation, tracking deadlines and expiration dates, coordinating communications, and maintaining accurate provider and facility records. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organizational, and data-entry skills, with the ability to manage detailed documentation and multiple deadlines accurately.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, organize, and submit medical and dental credentialing and recredentialing documentation.
- Track credentialing submissions, application statuses, expiration dates, deadlines, and required follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate provider, facility, and credentialing information within state databases and internal records.
- Collect required documentation from CHS staff, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain credentialing files, correspondence, confirmation records, and audit-ready documentation.
- Assist with routine credentialing communications, payor updates, status reports, and administrative spreadsheets.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up as needed to support timely credentialing completion.
- Provide administrative support for special projects and other credentialing-related activities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED, or relevant administrative experience.
- Previous administrative support, medical or dental credentialing, or healthcare operations experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to track multiple deadlines, documents, and ongoing assignments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
