Job Summary The Salvation Army is seeking a Seasonal HR/Bell Ringer Processing Assistant to provide temporary administrative and Human Resources support during the 2026 holiday season. A primary responsibility of this position will be assisting with the processing and onboarding of Bell Ringers, including reviewing applications and required paperwork, maintaining accurate personnel records, processing Everify, and supporting the timely processing of seasonal employees.

This position will work closely with Human Resources and office staff to ensure Bell Ringer and other seasonal employment information is complete, accurate, and processed efficiently. The position will also provide general clerical and administrative support, including filing, data entry, answering phones, preparing documents, and assisting employees with routine questions. Paycom HRIS system experience is desired.

Essential Responsibilities Assist with the processing and on boarding of seasonal Bell Ringers, including reviewing applications and required employment documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Prepare, organize, and maintain personnel files and seasonal employee records.

Enter and update employee information accurately in applicable systems and records.

Assist with processing new hires, employment forms, personnel changes, and other HR-related documentation.

Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, and Human Resources information.

Respond to routine questions regarding HR procedures and seasonal employment in a professional and courteous manner.

Prepare, organize, photocopy, scan, and file HR and administrative documents.

Maintain accurate lists, logs, spreadsheets, calendars, and other office records.

Answer telephone calls, greet visitors, and provide assistance or direct questions to the appropriate staff member.

Assist with routine administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of the Human Resources office.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager or Area Commander.

Qualifications Two-year degree from an accredited technical or vocational school and two years of Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Previous Human Resources, administrative, clerical, recruiting, onboarding, or data-entry experience preferred.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to organize information, maintain records, and meet deadlines.

Professional and courteous communication skills.

Ability to work independently while following established procedures and instructions.

Basic computer and office equipment skills.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and data entry.

Valid driver's license required.

Physical/Work Requirements Ability to meet attendance and scheduling requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Position is primarily performed in an office environment and requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, filing, and data entry.

May occasionally require standing, walking, and lifting or carrying light items up to 25 pounds.

May require occasional driving and working outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions.

Seasonal Position Notice This is a temporary 6–8 week seasonal assignment supporting the 2026 Christmas and Red Kettle/Bell Ringer season. Training is scheduled to begin during the first week of October. The position is expected to work approximately 24 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week when operational needs require additional support.

High school diploma or G.E.D. required, with additional secretarial courses preferredandtwo years' experience performing clerical work in an office environment,orany equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSES AND

CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid state driver license.

Possess a driver record that is qualifies as an eligible driver under TSA Driver Qualification Program.
