Pathway Lending
- Develops and implements strategies to generate new loan and educational opportunities prioritizing Pathway Lending’s CDFI markets that align with Pathway’s small business lending, affordable multi-family, Sustainability Programs, and community development objectives.
- Identifies, develops, and maintains strategic relationships with community organizations, government agencies, financial institutions, and businesses throughout the designated region.
- Attends community events, conferences, and other public forums to promote Pathway’s loan products and educational services and identify community needs for programs and services that Pathway can offer, including the Pathway Women’s Business Center and Veteran Business Outreach Center.
- Designs and implements a comprehensive community development plan aligned with Pathway’s mission and values. The plan covers community development initiatives encompassing capacity building, training, and filling capital gaps with Pathway Lending product solutions for small business, commercial real estate, affordable housing, and sustainability lending.
- Leads, organizes, and facilitates Pathway programs (Pathway Connect, Nashville Affordable Housing and Community Development Forum) both at Pathway Lending and other locations.
- Qualifies loan and education client prospects and takes the lead in the development of new business opportunities from those prospects and the existing customer base.
- Provides one-on-one technical assistance to clients both pre‑loan and post‑loan.
- Contributes to the development of marketing materials and sales tools to support community development outreach in the designated region, including supporting small business, affordable housing and sustainability lending in the region.
- The Director will have a loan origination goal and an education impact goal to be set annually.
- Other duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong organization and communication skills, sales and negotiation skills with the ability to find and close deals effectively, a focus on customer service, knowledge of affordable housing and sustainability, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service to clients, partners, stakeholders, and team members are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and navigating multiple computer systems and applications, as well as utilizing search tools, is also required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. Experience working at a financial institution or CDFI in a role covering community development, financial services with experience in leadership roles.
