SHR Talent is partnering with a click seeking a detail‑oriented Business Management Coordinator & Tax Compliance Specialist to support small business clients through key administrative, compliance, and onboarding processes. The Business Management Coordinator & Tax Compliance Specialist sits at the intersection of business management and tax support, working closely with internal tax professionals while handling foundational business setup, licensing, and lifecycle tasks.
The Business Management Coordinator & Tax Compliance Specialist is not a traditional tax role, although tax experience is helpful, but not required.
Ideally, the Business Management Coordinator & Tax Compliance Specialist will have experience supporting small businesses, will enjoy process‑driven work, and will be able to confidently guide clients through onboarding and operational compliance steps.
The Business Management Coordinator & Tax Compliance Specialist should possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, be comfortable working in a hybrid role with cross‑functional responsibilities, and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of small business clients
- Support business entity setup and dissolution
- Handle city and county business licenses, renewals, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate and support basic tax‑related processes, including information gathering and documentation
- Work alongside tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely filings
- Assist with Form 1080 and related compliance documentation
- Serve as a point of contact for administrative and compliance questions from clients
- Maintain accurate records and ensure deadlines are met
- Support ongoing business management needs as they arise
- Experience in business management, client onboarding, operations, or compliance
- Exposure to tax or accounting environments, preferred but not required
- Understanding of small business operations and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with entity formation, licensing, and compliance processes
- Prior experience in tax support, accounting firms, or business services, a plus
- Knowledge of city and county licensing processes, a plus
- Experience supporting multiple clients or accounts simultaneously, a plus
