Job Summary
The Senior Marketing Procurement Analyst is responsible for leading data-driven analytics initiatives that support sourcing strategy, supplier management, demand optimization, and value creation across marketing and production spend categories. This role partners with procurement leadership, category teams, finance, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate complex spend, supplier, market, and operational data into actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations. The successful candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with strategic thinking, business storytelling, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities- Lead procurement analytics initiatives that inform category strategy, sourcing decisions, and supplier management.
- Translate complex spend, supplier, market, and operational data into actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations.
- Partner with category leaders, finance, and business stakeholders to define analytics priorities, success metrics, and value-tracking methodologies.
- Conduct advanced spend, demand, and supplier performance analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs.
- Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that improve transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision making.
- Own analytical projects from problem definition through analysis, insight generation, storytelling, and stakeholder alignment.
- Leverage internal data and external market research to support category strategies, should-cost models, and negotiation approaches.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and drive alignment on business actions and decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement analytics capabilities, methodologies, and governance.
- Support strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier performance initiatives.
- Manage multiple analytical initiatives and stakeholder priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement analytics, supply chain analytics, finance analytics, or related analytical roles.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate insights to senior leaders.
- Ability to manage multiple analytical projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- Experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Experience with category management.
- Experience with supplier performance management.
- Experience developing should-cost models and supporting negotiation strategies.
- Experience using external market research to inform procurement strategies.
- Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and evolving procurement analytics capabilities.
