This early-career role is designed for professionals looking to bridge management consulting and private equity experience before business school. Approximately 80% of time will be spent supporting portfolio companies on consulting-type projects across all business functions (go-to-market redesign, pricing strategy, M&A integration, new product launch). The remaining 20% supports firm leadership on strategic projects.

Responsibilities include partnering with deal teams on financial and operational reporting, supporting portfolio company boards with governance best practices, developing scalable toolkits and best practices across portfolio companies, and helping build internal capabilities including preferred partner networks and investor meeting planning.

Council Capital invests in lower middle market healthcare companies with enterprise values between $10M and $100M, taking both control and minority positions. The firm is distinguished by its CEO Council of seasoned operators and Strategic Healthcare Investors.

Qualifications:

1-3 years at a top management consulting firm strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects independently.
