Positions in this sub-family are responsible for identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities that could affect growth and profitability of the organization. Activities include:
• Identifying growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitating cross-business unit initiatives
• Evaluating and financial modeling of potential merger, acquisition, divestment, partnership, and joint venture opportunities
• Monitoring medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership
• Identifying and developing optimal revenue models, sales/distribution channels, pricing, and new product development strategies
• Identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships including financial arrangements, customer sharing, and intellectual property rights
• Prioritizing and tracking investments across new product development initiatives.

Responsibilities Long-Term Business Strategy & Planning work is focused on facilitating and developing the organization’s medium and long-term goals including:

Identifying growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitating cross-business unit initiatives

Evaluating and financial modeling of potential merger, acquisition, divestment, partnership and joint venture opportunities

Monitoring medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership

Analyzing and managing medium and long-term capital expenditure and project approval decisions

In some organizations may review corporate governance, balanced score card performance, and participate in the annual business planning cycle A Manager (M3) manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Responsibilities typically include:

Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less).Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex.

Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree ; 10+ years of relevant experience including 7+ years management or leadership experience

Or Master’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5-7 years management or leadership experience
