Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations for a not-for-profit healthcare organization. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax filings, supporting audits, and advising on tax implications of business decisions.

Success in this role is measured by timely and accurate tax reporting, risk mitigation, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours/week Compensation:
Pay $50,000-$60,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits:
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits Life and long-term care insurance are provided at no additional expense to the employee Paid time off (PTO), including holidays Extended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO – paid time for doctor appointments, sickness, or medical leave Retirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percent Education reimbursement Employee assistance program Wellness program Among others Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns (payroll, sales, property, and income) for a multiple entity environment Maintain documentation and records to support tax filings and audit Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations affecting healthcare operation Audit & Risk Management Support internal and external audits by providing requested tax documentation Maintain compliance with state unclaimed property reporting requirements Identify and mitigate tax risks through proactive review and analysis Advisory & Collaboration Advise departments on tax implications of contracts, grants, and operational changes Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure tax compliance across business units Acquire and maintain understanding of Dialysis Clinic Inc’s business activities and reporting systems Qualifications Successful Candidates Bring:
Education Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors
