PRIMARYFUNCTION:
Assist in the management of a project, including processing and tracking submittals, RFIs, and ASIs/Construction Change Directives. May have primary responsibility for specific aspects of concrete construction. Maintain a detailed, 3-dimensional computer model of the concrete work on a self-performed concrete project, ensuring that plans and specifications are followed and up to date.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Prepare and create 3D computer model of cast-in-place concrete work to allow construction team to accurately place the building components using 3D coordinates taken from the model.
- Assist in discovery of design errors and interference issues.
- Create models allowing project team to show the general contractor or owner a 3D representation of the finished project.
- Generate, draft and track RFIs and submittals to the general contractor for review and approval, distribute responses to all involved parties and maintain status report of approved or pending items.
- Coordinate work with project superintendent and general contractor to ensure information regarding the project is communicated and understood.
- Detail layout shop drawings using Tekla Structures for field use.
- Communicate and assist in enforcing safe working standards on projects.
- On-site visual inspections to ensure high quality of work is performed on projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Associates degree or higher required.
2. 1-2 years construction experience a plus.
3. Strong computer skills required.
4.
Experience with BIM required: TEKLA a strong plus.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.).
6. Good organizational skills.
