What You'll Do:

Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.

Operate Heavy Equipment. Safely and competently operate a backhoe, skid loader broom, screws on the screed, and asphalt roller. Drive this equipment in successive passes over terrain and/or asphalt to a specified grade following marking on grade stakes or hand signals.

Inspect Equipment. Perform thorough inspections and accurately complete relevant documentation.

Maintain Equipment. Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on the equipment.

Skills You'll Need:
  • Must possess a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement.
  • Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, asphalt construction, or aggregate production is preferred but not required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
