Estimator - Commercial Construction
We are seeking an experienced Estimator for our Commercial Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up and design-build projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. This role requires a keen understanding of various construction methodologies and the ability to collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather information for cost estimation.
- Review and interpret contracts and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy in estimates.
- Provide recommendations for value engineering and cost-saving measures during the design process.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects.
- Proven experience with ground-up and design-build projects, particularly in healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
