Preconstruction Executive

Salary

• Take executive ownership of projects following initial opportunity identification, leading clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders through the preconstruction process
• Serve as the senior preconstruction representative for owners, architects, engineers, and key project partners
• Lead the development of conceptual budgets, cost plans, value engineering initiatives, and preconstruction strategies for complex industrial and commercial projects
• Guide clients, designers, and internal teams through budgeting, constructability reviews, scope development, and project planning
• Champion key relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and industry partners to support negotiated work and long-term project opportunities
• Partner closely with operations leadership to ensure projects are properly planned and positioned for successful execution
• Participate in Go/No-Go decisions, pursuit strategy meetings, and project win planning efforts
• Support Business Development and Executive Leadership on strategic growth initiatives, market expansion opportunities, and project pursuit strategies
• Establish and continuously improve best-in-class preconstruction processes, systems, and standards
• Provide executive oversight of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews
• Represent the company in high-level client meetings, industry events, presentations, and negotiations
• Mentor, develop, and support preconstruction leaders and team members across the organization
• Assist with key hiring, succession planning, and leadership development decisions within the preconstruction function

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 15+ years of construction industry experience with significant leadership experience in preconstruction, project management, operations, or project development
• Proven experience leading preconstruction efforts on large industrial and commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of estimating, constructability, project execution, scheduling, and operational planning
• Experience working directly with owners, architects, engineers, and executive-level stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to lead project pursuits and help convert opportunities into awarded work
• Advanced understanding of construction contracts, risk management, and project delivery methods
• Strong business acumen with the ability to contribute to corporate strategy and long-term planning
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Reputation for integrity, accountability, and sound decision-making
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, project pursuits, and industry engagements
