Skilled Laborer; ENV

Overview

We are looking for a skilled laborer with at least 2 years of general construction experience to assist in the construction of environmental restoration projects.

• Use standard hand tools and mechanized landscaping equipment proficiently.
• Work with construction crews on manual labor activities to support overall project goals.
• Identify potential safety hazards and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Follow instructions, lead, train, and mentor crews with a positive can‑do attitude.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
• Preferable experience as a laborer on stream restoration and/or wetland construction projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Hold a valid current driver’s license with a clean driving record as verified by a pre‑employment motor vehicle records search.

• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
• Travel for overnight and extended‑stay projects may be expected.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pre‑employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment; motor vehicle checks may be required depending on the position.

Constant exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and humidity.

Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower‑back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds independently and standing, walking, and performing manual tasks continuously for extended durations. Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina, with clear vision at close range, distance, and peripherally and the ability to distinguish between different colors.
