Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction

We are in need of an experienced Project Manager to oversee civil projects in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of civil construction processes, including underground utilities and heavy sitework challenges. Strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in client/sub meetings to understand project requirements
• Review budget and bid documents for consistency
• Create project plans specific to each site
• Ensure installations adhere to design and contract specifications
• Supervise subcontractors and on-site staff
• Manage project permits and licenses
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Proactively address and solve problems as they arise
• Perform quantity take-offs and assess cut/fill
• Oversee Field Superintendents

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil project management experience
• Ability to interpret grading and utility plans
• Familiarity with construction equipment and materials for earthwork projects
• Knowledge of construction best practices and safety guidelines
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills for team leadership
