Construction General Laborer
This role provides general labor and site cleaning support on a large new construction project. You help maintain a safe, organized, and clean job site by performing a variety of physical tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, material movement, and water cleanup during inclement weather.
Responsibilities
- Sweep floors and walkways to keep the construction site clean and free of debris.
- Pick up and properly dispose of trash and construction waste throughout the job site.
- Vacuum and remove standing water when it rains to help maintain safe working conditions.
- Move construction materials from one location to another as directed by site supervision.
- Support general cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed across the project.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment on a new construction job site.
- Follow construction safety practices and site rules at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other general laborers and equipment operators to support daily operations.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working as a general laborer on construction job sites.
- Comfort working on large new construction projects and active job sites.
- Ability to perform physical labor including sweeping, cleaning, trash removal, and material movement.
- Understanding of basic construction safety practices and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
- Reliability in adhering to early morning start times and scheduled work hours.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Any OSHA or related safety certifications are a plus.
- Experience performing general labor duties specifically on new construction projects is ideal.
- Familiarity with job site clean-up processes, including sweeping, water removal, and material handling.
- Comfort working around construction equipment such as hoists and other site machinery.

Work Environment
This position is based on a new construction stadium project, working alongside a crew that includes buck hoist operators and multiple general laborers. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the expectation that the project will eventually transition to six days per week. Orientation takes place on-site at 6:00 a.m. on a Monday. The environment is an active construction site, requiring appropriate work attire such as durable clothing and sturdy work boots, and consistent adherence to safety protocols.
Work is primarily outdoors or in partially enclosed areas, with exposure to weather conditions and typical construction site noise and activity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
