Drywall Estimator

Job Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator for its PCI Nashville 532 operations based in Smyrna, TN.

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
• Establish labor productivities for estimate
• Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-performing group
• Understand market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages
• Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams
• Participate in customer alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relations
• Contract administration for secured projects
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules
• Hand off secured projects to the Operations team
• Assist in other duties such as change order management or billings as required by projects
• Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration

This position is safety sensitive.

• At least 1-3 years of experience estimating construction projects
• Experience with estimating, project management, and managing metal stud/drywall scopes of construction
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis
• Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work
• Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, BuzzBID, and/or Quickbid
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam Revu, Procore, or Plan Swift

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
• Local to Nashville metro area
