Principal Construction Manager For Amzl/Rsr
Amazon's last mile network is scaling rapidly, and we're growing our fulfillment footprint with hundreds of new sites nationwide. As principal construction manager for AMZL/RSR, you'll serve as the senior-most individual technical authority for construction delivery across a diverse portfolio of fulfillment and delivery station sites, owning the complete lifecycle from site validation through construction handover for the program's most complex, high-risk, and precedent-setting projects.
This role demands a builder's mentality: you'll pioneer construction methodologies that achieve condensed timelines and frugal cost targets while navigating hundreds of distinct permitting jurisdictions. As the program's principal technical expert, you'll set the standard for construction execution across the complete lifecycle — from design optimization, RFP process, and permitting strategy through contractor management, quality oversight, and operational handover — while maintaining rigorous financial guardrails.
You'll act as the go-to escalation point for the toughest construction challenges, mentor construction managers across the org, and define the scalable processes and technical standards that raise the bar for the entire team. This is a rare opportunity to build at Amazon scale, working cross-functionally with real estate, operations, design, launch, startup, legal, and external partners including developers, general contractors, architects, and local officials.
You'll drive continuous improvement in construction execution, establish scalable processes for rapid growth, and directly impact Amazon's ability to deliver for millions of customers. Success in this role requires thriving in ambiguity, excelling at influencing without authority, and comfortably challenging the status quo.
