About the Role

Black Mountain Cabinetry is seeking an organized, customer-focused Project Manager to oversee cabinetry projects from order placement through final completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, builders, installers, and vendors throughout the execution phase of each project.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with customers and trade partners, and take ownership of delivering an exceptional client experience.

This position is critical to ensuring projects are completed accurately, on schedule, and to the high standards our clients expect.

An ideal candidate should have:

  • 3+ years of project management, construction management, remodeling, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and cloud-based project management systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in cabinetry, kitchen and bath remodeling, residential construction, millwork, or interior finishes.
  • Ability to read construction plans and cabinet drawings.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and trade partners.
  • Familiarity with cabinet ordering processes and manufacturer workflows.
  • Knowledge of residential construction sequencing and jobsite operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-service mindset.

  • Able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout Middle Tennessee.
  • Ability to walk active construction sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds by yourself, or heavier with help on occasion.
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate residential construction environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Management

  • Manage cabinetry projects from order approval through final completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address potential issues before they become problems.
  • Coordinate processes between clients, builders, designers, installers, and cabinet manufacturers.
  • Ensure all project information, drawings, specifications, and revisions are properly documented.

Ordering & Procurement

  • Review project documentation for accuracy prior to order submission.
  • Coordinate cabinet orders with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Track order status and production schedules.
  • Verify order acknowledgments and communicate any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Manage change orders and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Schedule cabinet deliveries and coordinate logistics with other trades and customers.
  • Coordinate installation schedules with subcontracted installers and project stakeholders.
  • Confirm jobsite readiness prior to delivery and installation.
  • Monitor installation progress and provide support to installers as needed.
  • Conduct site visits when necessary to ensure project quality and resolve issues.

Customer Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
  • Provide regular updates regarding project status, scheduling, deliveries, and installation timelines.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions and concerns.
  • Maintain a professional and positive customer experience throughout the project.

Quality Control, Warranty & Service

  • Manage punch-list items and project closeout activities.
  • Coordinate callbacks, and warranty claims.
  • Work with manufacturers and installers to resolve deficiencies and warranty issues.
  • Ensure all outstanding items are completed to company standards.
