Penhall is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations and oversee our construction crews on projects throughout the region.

This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who knows construction from the field up.

You'll be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising field operations
, while making sure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Penhall's quality standards.

We're looking for a Superintendent who can walk onto a jobsite and take charge.

Someone who knows how to organize people, equipment, materials, and schedules. Someone who can communicate with Project Managers, customers, contractors, and field crews. Most importantly, someone who leads from the front and holds themselves and their team accountable.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and supervise craft employees and field crews on construction projects
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and daily work activities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and adjust work plans as needed to keep projects moving
  • Coordinate work between multiple trades, crews, departments, contractors, and customers
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements
  • Establish and maintain high safety standards throughout every phase of the project
  • Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and work requirements
  • Monitor productivity, materials, equipment, and project costs
  • Complete and review daily reports, timekeeping, project documentation, and other required paperwork
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, customers, contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Identify construction issues early and develop solutions to prevent delays or productivity problems
  • Organize crews, tools, equipment, and resources to meet project requirements
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to field employees
  • Hold crews accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and job performance
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and project partners
  • Travel as needed based on project requirements

You’ll Bring:
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction supervisory experience
  • Proven experience leading construction crews and coordinating field operations
  • Experience managing multiple crews, trades, or work activities
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and jobsite requirements
  • Experience with project scheduling and resource planning
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and project requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced field environment
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, customers, contractors, and field personnel
