Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction

The Role
As a Senior Superintendent, you will oversee day-to-day construction operations from preconstruction through closeout. You'll serve as the primary on-site leader, responsible for planning, coordination, and execution, while partnering closely with project management to deliver successful projects.
This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and understands how to keep projects moving without unnecessary friction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities and field personnel
- Plan and manage project schedules, sequencing, and logistics
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain productivity and workflow
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Maintain quality control and ensure work aligns with contract documents
- Lead jobsite meetings and communicate effectively with owners, architects, and internal teams
- Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff
- Partner with project managers on schedule impacts, cost control, and risk mitigation
- Drive projects through punch list, commissioning, and closeout
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial or light-industrial construction projects
- Experience leading large, complex, or multi-phase work
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods across trades
- Proven ability to lead teams, hold accountability, and resolve issues proactively
- Calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience using construction management software such as Procore or similar
