The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join an established and growing structural steel organisation in the Nashville, Tennessee area
.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with a strong background in structural steel erection or commercial/industrial construction to take ownership of projects from initial planning through to completion.
You'll work closely with clients, fabricators, field teams, subcontractors and vendors, playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Be Doing- Manage structural steel erection projects from pre-construction through final closeout
. - Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, fabricators, superintendents, vendors and other stakeholders
. - Manage RFIs, RFQs, change orders and project documentation.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Monitor project performance against schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Identify and resolve project issues before they impact delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.
- Support continuous improvement across project management processes.
- 10+ years of construction and/or structural steel experience
. - Proven experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, contracts and project scope
. - Experience working with subcontractors, vendors and multiple project stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience working across both office and active job-site environments
. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems
. - Experience with Smartsheet or similar software would be advantageous.
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline and/or PMP certification would be beneficial, but practical industry experience is highly valued.
