The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of craft employees on construction projects. This includes planning, supervising, and scheduling the work of multiple trade groups.

• Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company and industry standards.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, safety measurements and the adherence to construction schedules.
• Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
• Ensure that appropriate documentation and cost associate documents are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that purchase orders, receiving reports, and timesheets are correctly coded.
• Provide updates and feedback to assist in the resolution of construction issues, including productivity concerns or work interface challenges.
• Coordinate work across different crafts, departments, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and avoid conflicts or delays.
• Maintain strong communication with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, and other key project stakeholders.
• Determine the method of construction, appropriate manpower levels, material quantities, equipment needs, and temporary power sources.

• Safety Awareness:
  Knowledge and enforcement of site-specific safety procedures and industry regulations.
• External Relations:
  Working with unions (if applicable to location), customers, and industry associations to maintain positive relationships and resolve disputes when needed.
• Safety Compliance:
  Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices, with a focus on ensuring the health and safety of all team members.
• Clear Communication:
  Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with supervisors, team members, customers, and external stakeholders.
• Team Management:
  Ability to lead and supervise diverse craft teams effectively, ensuring high productivity and compliance with project requirements.

• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a construction supervisory role, with experience managing craft personnel across multiple trades.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven experience in project scheduling and resource management.
