Gibson, Inc., the iconic guitar brand that has shaped music history for generations, is seeking a detail-oriented Photo Post-Production Specialist to join our Photography team at our Nashville Gibson Operations location. This role is responsible for reviewing inbound image sets, ensuring technical and color accuracy, performing retouching as needed, and preparing files for production. A major part of the position involves managing large volumes of digital assets, organizing files, and ensuring proper file save outs and deliveries.

The role supports our photographers and retouchers and requires strong technical judgment, excellent file handling discipline, and the ability to maintain consistency across high volume imaging workflows.

This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, excellent color judgment, and an interest in both digital capture and post-production. It offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the brands overall quality while working closely with our creative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Image Quality Control:
    Review inbound image sets for technical accuracy, color consistency, exposure, and overall alignment with Gibson's visual standards.
  • Retouching Support:
    Perform light to intermediate retouching, masking, and cleanup to prepare files for production or finalize completed assets as needed.
  • Color Accuracy:
    Maintain consistent and accurate color across all images to ensure faithful product representation
  • File Management: Organize, label, and structure large volumes of digital assets, maintain clean folder hierarchies, and ensure proper file save outs and deliveries.
  • Workflow Execution: Use established tools such as Photoshop actions, calibrated color workflows, scripts, and automated save out processes to execute production tasks consistently and efficiently.
  • Process Optimization: Improve efficiency by identifying workflow bottlenecks, creating or adapting scripts and automation tools, and incorporating new technologies or best practices that enhance speed and consistency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with photographers, retouchers, and the broader creative team to support production needs and uphold Gibson's imaging standards.
Other Duties
  • Operate and maintain studio equipment including computers, viewing booths, guitars, and other merchandise.
  • Other responsibilities as needed to support the team in achieving goals and maintaining Gibson's brand standards.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Technical Skills:
    Advanced abilities with Adobe Photoshop and color calibration practices.
  • Color Perception:
    Excellent color vision and a keen eye for detail are essential.
  • Familiarity with Workflow Tools:
    Experience with  and M365is a plus.
  • Organization and Efficiency:
    Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and maintain file standards.
Photoshop Expertise:
  • Proficient in natural retouching techniques, with an emphasis on subtlety
  • In-depth knowledge of color grading and color editing tools
  • Expert-level skill in creating precise clipping paths and channel masks.

    Required Education and Experience
    • 2+ years in a retouching role, preferably within a color-managed studio environment
    • A bachelor's degree is preferred
