• Remain in the gallery throughout the shift and keep a count of visitors. Handle ticketing for visitors.
• Be knowledgeable of the collection and gallery space.
• Notify supervisor of any issues or anomalies that may arise during a shift.
• Students must remain in the gallery until the replacement student worker is present. Notify on-duty staff immediately if there is a ‘no show’.
• The galleries are open from 10am to 4:30pm Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sundays from 1-4:30pm. Opportunities to work special events available.

• The student must be responsible, trustworthy and able to work independently. He/she must interact with visitors professionally, demonstrate leadership, and work with other monitors.
• The student should be observant and constantly aware of his/her surroundings, have good judgment and critical thinking skills.
• This position requires self-motivation, confidence, personable communication skills, and holds leadership experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 hours of availability during gallery opening hours.
• Preferred if applicant has 2-3 hours of availability during the following times: (Mondays 11:45am-1:30pm, Thursdays 2pm-4:30pm, Fridays 12pm-1:30pm)

Required Education Should be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University.

Required Experience Some previous front desk or customer service experience is helpful. Previous Library experience is helpful but not required.
