The Vacation Travel Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for consulting with clients to understand their vacation preferences, budgets, and expectations, and then designing customized travel itineraries and packages. Day-to-day tasks include researching destinations, booking flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and ground transportation, and managing changes or cancellations as needed. The Vacation Travel Advisor will communicate with clients through phone, email, and in-person meetings, providing recommendations, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end travel experience.
The role also involves maintaining accurate records in travel systems, staying current on travel trends and supplier offerings, and contributing to high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
An emphasis in GDS Sabre booking system knowledge is preferred and a focus on air desk reservations.
Qualifications- Strong client-focused abilities with skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal and written Communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse client base and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Travel Arrangements, including researching, planning, and booking complex itineraries.
- Experience in a Travel Agency or similar travel consulting environment, with knowledge of industry tools and suppliers.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple client requests and deadlines.
- Comfort with technology, including reservation systems, CRM tools, and standard office software.
- Ability to work on-site in Nashville, TN, collaborating with colleagues and meeting clients as needed.
- Prior experience in leisure or vacation travel planning; professional travel certifications or training are a plus.
