Summer Internship – Architecture (Summer 2026 is full)

Morley is seeking an architecture summer intern for 2026 to learn alongside experienced architects and be a part of a team environment performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to project drawings, project documentation, renderings, and building code research.

You are an architecture student who wants to gain hands-on experience in a variety of architecture projects both big and small. You are eager to learn, and don’t shy away from being challenged. You are a team player and gladly perform the tasks necessary to get the job done. You are not afraid to learn new things and receive instruction and direction well from others.

About the Work

You will be a part of an architecture team that creates new development, renovation, and expansion designs for a variety of public, commercial, and industrial projects. Morley clients put their trust in the architecture team to design an aesthetically pleasing, well-functioning, and adaptable space. You will gain hands-on experience through completing project drawings, renderings, and documentation. You will be a part of a team that interacts with clients, contractors, and local authorities every step of the way from conceptualization to the grand opening.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Learn to complete as-built and lease outline drawings for commercial projects including retail spaces, offices, restaurants, schools, and industrial projects.
  • Assist in drawing improvements for commercial projects including retail spaces, offices, restaurants, schools, and industrial projects.
  • Gain experience utilizing AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Revit completing project drawings and renderings.
  • Assist in preparing necessary documents and drawing sets needed for proposals, project meetings, and public bid projects.
  • Assist in documenting Morley projects through photography and writing project briefs.
  • Adhere to Morley safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
Skills and Experience
  • Enrolled in one of the following degree programs: master’s in architecture, bachelor’s in architecture, architectural studies, or similar degree.
  • Basic knowledge in at least one of the following programs AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or Revit required.
  • Efficient with computers and proficient in MS Office software.
  • Relational:
    Has strong interpersonal skills and is professional, courteous and respectful.
  • Work Ethic:
    Produces significant output with minimal wasted effort. Works well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Curious:
    Seeks to understand by asking good questions, listening well, completing research independently, and asking for advice and direction when needed.

Compensation

The architecture summer intern role is a seasonal full-time hourly position approximately from mid-May to mid-August. Pay is dependent on education and work experience. Morley is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
