We are seeking an experienced Revit Modeler to develop, merge, and coordinate structural and architectural models. In this role, you will play a critical part in bridging design intent with construction execution. You will independently review fabricator shop drawings (such as structural steel or concrete) against architectural layouts. While a formal engineering degree is not required, deep technical knowledge of building envelopes, load paths, and constructability is essential.
You will work closely with licensed structural engineers and architects to flag discrepancies before construction begins. This is an in-office position located in our Nashville, TN office.
- Build, maintain, and audit high-quality 3D models and parametric families for structural systems (foundations, framing, slabs).
- Coordinate the architectural skin with the underlying structural skeleton to ensure spatial integration.
- Review structural steel, rebar, and concrete shop drawings against contract documents.
- Verify dimensions, member profiles, connections, elevations, and layout constraints between fabricator drawings and contract documents.
- Identify discrepancies, document RFIs (Requests for Information), and issue markups for subcontractor corrections.
- High school diploma required;
Associate degree, technical trade certification, or relevant coursework in drafting, architecture, or construction technology preferred. - 3 to 6 years of hands-on Revit modeling and coordination experience in an engineering, architecture, or construction environment.
- Practical, field-tested understanding of building codes, construction practices, and basic engineering math.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related BIM coordination tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and markup complex blue-prints, submittals, and shop drawings.
