Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigned up to nine workload hours per semester.
  • Create syllabus and timeline of classes for students each semester.
  • Provide meeting time for students.
  • Manage online grading system and submit grades in a timely fashion.
  • Abide by all relevant university and/or department procedures and policies.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field of study.
  • Knowledge of subject matter and course content taught.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to support, instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students.
  • Skilled in the use of computers, Internet resources, and MS Office software.
  • Ability to learn relevant sections of Banner Web for student grading.
  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
  • Ability to interact professionally with students, educators, and the public.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Belmont University's programs and services.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.

Required Education:
Master’s degree in appropriate field or bachelor’s degree with significant professional media experience.

Preferred Experience:
Higher education teaching experience preferred.
