Job Summary

The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist the Field Manager in managing, organizing, and directing activities relating to the safety of the district's students, staff, visitors, and the security of all properties under the control and supervision of the school district. The position is responsible for assisting the Field Manager in providing supervision and coordination of the elementary Safety Ambassador and Middle/High Campus Support programs.

What

you will do
  • Coordinate tasks to implement and manage the Safety Ambassador and Campus Support programs to effectively address safety and security needs of students and staff in all schools.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Safety Ambassadors, Campus Support, and school administrators regarding program needs.
  • Serve as a liaison during emergencies with school administration, community, and with emergency responders in coordination of crises response programs.
  • Develop, implement, and update handbooks, procedures, and protocols.
  • Participates in screening, evaluating, hiring and training of personnel needed to facilitate the Security Program.
  • Responsible for scheduling, organizing, and supervising weapons searches at schools, athletic events, graduations, etc.
  • Implements security standards, policies, and procedures. Assists in planning security for special and high-risk events.
  • Plans, directs, or coordinates security activities to safeguard district assets, students, employees, guests, or others on district property. Assist in emergency management and contingency planning. Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice (Law Enforcement), Education, or a related field Required
Experience Qualifications
  • Ranked leadership role (i.e. Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain,) in an organization of comparable size of 150 or more personnel Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required or
  • CDL License Required
  • Must meet training standard or certification requirements in effect if law enforcement equipment is authorized for position Required
Equivalency

Starting At: $62,055.15

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
