Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position involves overseeing admissions counseling, recruitment, and general office tasks for a diverse range of applicants for a specific college. The objective is to manage the enrollment process for various student categories, including undergraduate transfers, re‑enrolling students, freshmen, second‑degree and graduate program candidates. The role requires maintaining a deep understanding of Belmont University’s vision and collaborating with admissions counselors, faculty, and various teams to enhance recruitment strategies, coordinate events, and manage the virtual presence of the college through the website and social media platforms.
Additionally, the position involves reporting on recruitment progress, participating in process improvement teams, and contributing to marketing initiatives for prospective students.
- Recruit undergraduate and graduate students for a designated academic college by effectively communicating Belmont’s distinctive academic opportunities and its social and spiritual culture to external stakeholders. Plan and implement local and regional outreach efforts with high school students, and represent Belmont at industry conferences and college fairs as appropriate. Support prospective graduate students throughout the application process by reviewing completed files for admission decisions and coordinating their transition to assigned college advisors.
Collaborate with program directors to strengthen marketing materials and provide assistance with student registration as needed. - Serve as the academic and scholarship liaison (as applicable) between Admissions and designated college(s) by cultivating relationships with the Dean and faculty, attending college meetings and events, and representing Admissions at college functions. Manage the portfolio and additional submission processes for incoming students by counseling applicants, training faculty, and facilitating departmental reviews and decisions. Notify applicants of outcomes, including scholarship determinations.
Oversee Watkins College of Art scholarships and awards, including maintaining records, completing annual reporting to Student Financial Services, and assisting the Dean’s Office in awarding need‑based scholarships for current students. - Facilitate daily and virtual information sessions for prospective families. Partner with the Admissions Visit Team to enhance daily visits, graduate information sessions, and Saturday programming. Coordinate and manage Belmont’s hosting of a National Portfolio Day (NPD) event and oversee institutional participation at other NPD events.
- Work alongside University Marketing to execute the college's marketing plan including the creation of marketing pieces, promotional items, website management, and prospect, alumni and parent outreach, and content for social media channels (including but not limited to Campus
ESP, Instagram, Facebook, and Linked In). - Utilize enrollment and university CRMs to analyze data related to the applicant pool and identify trends, demographics, and other patterns to make informed decisions about admissions strategies, targets and departmental scholarships (if applicable).
- Support first‑year student success by facilitating the transition to college life, fostering meaningful connections within the college, and connecting students with available university resources. Collaborate with Department Chairs to oversee the portfolio submission process for current students transitioning into a Watkins BFA degree. Assist the Dean’s Student Advisory Council, contribute to alumni tracking efforts in partnership with WCA and Belmont staff, and help identify and share opportunities with current students.

Must possess a current valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
1 to 3 years of previous private college experience as a student or employee preferred.
Experience in the academic subject area of the college is preferred.
Required EducationBachelor’s degree required.
