Adjunct Faculty, Sport Analytics - Kinesiology Department

Lipscomb University invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Sport Finance and Sport Economics. The successful candidate will bring academic expertise and/or industry experience in sport finance, economic analysis, and the business of sport to support a dynamic, student-focused learning environment grounded in Lipscomb's Christian mission.

• Teach one or more courses in Sport Finance and Sport Economics, which may include:
  • Financial management in sport organizations
  • Revenue generation and budgeting in professional and collegiate athletics
  • Economic impact analysis of sport events and facilities
  • Labor markets in professional sports
  • Salary caps, collective bargaining, and league governance
• Develop and deliver engaging, outcomes‑based course materials aligned with program standards.
• Facilitate online instruction as assigned.
• Provide timely feedback on student assignments and assessments.
• Maintain regular communication with students and program leadership.
• Incorporate current industry trends, case studies, and applied learning opportunities.
• Uphold university academic policies and participate in assessment activities as required.

• Doctoral degree (PhD) and/or Juris Doctor (JD) highly preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in sport management education and practice
• Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student mentoring
• Alignment with Lipscomb University's Christian mission, values, and Centering Core
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
