Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Grade 8 Math Teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools in Nashville, TN. The Math Teacher will deliver engaging and effective math instruction to eighth-grade students, design and implement lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, and assess student progress to support learning goals. The teacher will foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for mathematics.

Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and school staff will also be essential to enhance student outcomes and contribute to the school community.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
  • Proficiency and experience in Teaching and working with Middle School students
  • Excellent Communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Possession of a valid teaching license and a bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with state and national math curriculum standards is a plus
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
