The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, & Immunology, and Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology, & Inflammation invite applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in the fields of microbiology and immunology at a level commensurate with experience. The appointments will be in the Division of Molecular Pathogenesis in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt Health and Vanderbilt School of Medicine.
Applicants working at Biosafety Level 3 are particularly encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree and a minimum of three years of appropriate postdoctoral experience and accomplishment with peer‑reviewed publications that demonstrate outstanding scholarly work. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain an energetic, independent and well‑funded research program and participate in the teaching of graduate and medical students.
With an active and diverse faculty, the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology, and Inflammation, and Division of Molecular Pathogenesis provide a collegial environment with scholarly interests and research facilities.
Applications will be evaluated starting on August 1st and will continue on a rolling basis. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a statement of current and future research interests and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the Search Committee.
