This role focuses on motivating students to reach high standards, not teaching curriculum. You will facilitate life‑skills workshops and provide individual or small‑group coaching to drive 100% completion of weekly app objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate one‑hour life‑skills sessions for K‑8 groups on topics such as public speaking, focus, and feedback.
- Conduct daily coaching sessions to ensure every student completes weekly app objectives, using Coachbot data and reward structures.
- Administer the Test2
Pass competency verification for each life skill, coaching students until mastery. - Adapt approach for students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade.
- Maintain rigorous expectations while forming trusted relationships with students.
- Deliver whiteboard‑based instruction; academic content is within apps.
- Create curricula from scratch; you activate tested frameworks.
- Passively monitor students; motivation is active and individualized.
- Lower weekly targets to accommodate students; support them while keeping standards.
- Assess homework, prepare for standardized exams, or handle parent outreach.
- Available to work onsite at one of the listed Alpha campuses; relocation assistance offered.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in any discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience with K‑8 students (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program management).
- Concrete example of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging objective, including actions and results.
- Comfort with AI delivering instructional content while you focus on motivation and life‑skills.
- Regular use of generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after-school programs with accountability for motivating young people.
- Record of exceptional performance that reflects high personal standards.
- Strong communication and presence skills to sustain a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour.
- Proven ability to convert disengaged or reluctant students into committed learners.
This is a full‑time (40 hrs/week) long‑term position. Compensation is $50 USD per hour ($100,000/year). Payment is weekly. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as Contractor of Record. For more details, see the Crossover help page.
