Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Classroom Facilitator will help oversee students in daily after-school programs at Harvest Hands. They contribute to an empowering and safe space for Kindergarten-8th grade students from all walks of life by working alongside the Program Manager and other Classroom Facilitators to plan and implement holistic daily activities including but not limited to education, healthy living, spiritual formation, and economic development.

This is a part-time, hourly position (20 hours/week). Potential hours are Monday-Friday, approximately 2pm-6pm every day in the fall and spring. Occasional evenings and weekends for special events.

Required Qualifications

Applicant must have FWS Award to be considered.

  • A strong and clearly observable faith in God and a strong passion and commitment to mission and outreach in an underserved community.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred, but not required)
  • Previous experience working with and managing large groups of elementary-aged children (Kindergarten-5th Grade).
  • Classroom management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, virtual meeting platforms, and other basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains credibility through sincerity, honesty, and discretion.
Required Education

Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.

Required Experience

Experience working with and managing groups of youth (K-8th grade) in a ministry, school, or after-school setting. Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds is also preferred. Spanish speakers highly encouraged to apply. Work in a chaotic, sometimes noisy environment.
