OVERVIEW Tennessee State University is seeking an Assistant Director for the Intensive English Center (IEC). This role supports student learning through academic instruction, assessment activities, and program coordination within the university environment. The position involves overseeing ESL course delivery, preparing instructional resources, and supporting accreditation and faculty development efforts.

Key responsibilities
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing ESL courses
  • Implementing language teaching approaches aligned with IEC philosophy
  • Evaluating student performance and attendance
  • Preparing instructional materials
  • Participating in departmental meetings and curriculum assessment
  • Preparing student transcripts
  • Analyzing assessment data
  • Overseeing student academic progress
