- Coordinate the EELU Program, curriculum, and student and alumni support
- Assist in developing and implementing the Law School’s strategic plan for the EELU Program
- Coordinate programming, conferences, guest speaker events, course advising, and career advising
- Lead planning of the annual Distinguished Lecture on Climate Change Governance and support the State of the Environment Conference
- Conduct regular EELU Program team meetings
- Advise students on externships and research aligned with EELU employment opportunities
- Support fellowship and funding applications with students, host organizations, and funders
- Manage the Private Governance Lab and coordinate with the Private Governance Lab Fellow
- Track EELU course offerings and help avoid significant scheduling overlaps
- Work with students and faculty on climate governance white papers
- Potentially teach an approved adjunct course in energy, environmental, and land use law
- Develop relationships with alumni, donors, funders, employers, agencies, advocacy groups, and fellowship providers
- Manage media and marketing, web-page edits, publication lists, social media, and newsletters
- Promote faculty scholarship through communications and EELU-sponsored events
- Engage in legal scholarship relevant to environmental law
- Guide faculty, site supervisors, and students on externships and summer research opportunities
- May supervise a Private Governance Fellow and law student research assistants
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) is necessary
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy, environmental, and land use law, legal field, or equivalent is necessary
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and openness to build strong collaboration
- Executive-level interpersonal and communication skills
- Maturity, creativity, and initiative in expanding the Law School’s local and national presence
- Ability to make sound administrative and procedural decisions with high discernment
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to provide technical advice and information to staff in the area of expertise
Demonstrates expertise in energy, environmental, and land use law, with a strong focus on program coordination, student advising, and legal scholarship. Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple projects effectively.
