The ECLC is a play-based, child-centered program focused on social-emotional development, curiosity, and community. We believe in supporting the whole child and the whole teacher. As part of the Gordon JCC, we welcome educators of all backgrounds.

You do not need to be Jewish to apply, however candidates should be open to learning about Jewish traditions and committed to caring for children and families of all religious and cultural backgrounds.

• Partner with a co-teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Foster a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children's social-emotional growth
• Maintain open and professional communication with families
• Ensure classroom safety and compliance with DHS licensing standards
• Participate in school events and professional development opportunities
• $19-$23 per hour, based on education and experience
• Candidates with extensive experience and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related fi eld may be considered at the higher end of the pay range
• Two weeks off in the winter (December 21-January
  1)
• One week in July for teacher in-service and classroom preparation (July 27-31)
• Labor Day, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Passover, Memorial Day & July 4th off (8 days)
• Free JCC family membership (includes fi tness center, pool access, and community programming)

The Gordon Jewish Community Center(Gordon JCC) is at the center of Jewish life in Nashville, providing recreational,educational, social and cultural programs and services to over 1,700 member families. Located on a beautiful 52-acre campus in west Nashville, it is aplace where non-Jews are welcome to join, play and learn side by side withtheir Jewish neighbors. Camp Davis, established in 1930s, provides a day camp experience for hundreds of school-age children each summer.
