QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience equivalent to four years of full-time professional educational, instructional or supervisory/administrative work.
Substitution of Graduate Education for
Experience:
Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.
OR
One year of experience as an Education Consultant 1 or School Nutrition Consultant with the State of Tennessee.

OverviewThe Postsecondary, Workforce, CTE, and Military Readiness (PWCMR) Senior Coordinator will review and revise Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs of study and course standards for the following career clusters:
Management & Entrepreneurship;
Arts, Entertainment, & Design;
Marketing & Sales;
Digital Technology; and Financial Services. The position works closely with local education agencies (LEAs), industry advisory councils, and state advisors of the appropriate Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to promote and provide seamless college and career pathways for students.
This position aligns to TDOE's Strategic Priorities in that it ensures all students have access to high-quality CTE programs, addresses the development of CTE Directors and instructional leaders
¿ skills and knowledge in providing high-quality programs, and expands districts
¿ capacity for promoting and providing seamless career pathways for students.
- Provides professional development to teachers, LEA staff, peers, and other stakeholders.
- Identifies and analyzes instructional, administrative, and programmatic training needs within local educational agencies.
- Collaborates with others to develop training courses and curriculum materials for conducting in-service training, staff developments, workshops, and seminars.
- Gives guidance to appropriate stakeholders in techniques for monitoring program compliance with departmental guidelines and state and federal regulations.
- Evaluates and provides feedback on education assistance grant proposals submitted by local education agencies and makes recommendations and decisions on approval or denial.
- Communicates with LEA's staff and other stakeholders in a responsive and timely manner.
- Provides information to parents and families concerning state and federal guidelines.
