Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience - Continuing Track

The Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the Senior Lecturer rank to contribute to undergraduate teaching, advising and mentoring in the Neuroscience program starting in the 2027 spring semester. The successful candidate will teach foundational courses in Vanderbilt's research-based undergraduate BS degree major in Neuroscience. The Program is expanding its curriculum in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience to include neuroimmunology and neurogenetics, as well as additional areas of interest in molecular neuroscience.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the teaching of Introductory Neuroscience and play a key role in Neuroscience student major advising. This position will also support the Arts & Science Core curriculum, with the opportunity to teach in the first-year Core or develop an Exploratory Core course.

With 300+ majors, the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience is one of the largest majors in the College of Arts & Science and requires all students to complete laboratory research preparing students for careers in medicine and biomedical research.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related discipline (awarded no later than January 1, 2027).
