Process Automation Engineer

Overview

Our client, a global manufacturer, is hiring a full-time Automation Engineer to lead process automation and robotics initiatives across several manufacturing sites.

• Design, program, and implement automation and robotics systems for manufacturing processes.
• Lead technical execution of automation projects from concept through commissioning and startup.
• Develop control architectures, specifications, and documentation (PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize automated systems to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with project managers, integrators, vendors, and plant teams.
• Support standardization, training, and knowledge transfer across sites.

• 6+ years of experience delivering process automation projects in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Strong experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, and industrial networks.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

• Base salary in the $125k-135k range
