Supplier Quality Engineer (Solar / Manufacturing)

I’m partnering with a fast-growing clean energy company that is scaling its supplier quality team. They are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer who wants to play a direct role in strengthening the solar supply chain and supporting utility-scale projects.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys being hands‑on with suppliers, driving quality improvements, and influencing manufacturing processes.

• Audit and qualify new suppliers, assessing risk and quality readiness
• Support suppliers in implementing strong quality systems and processes
• Lead PPAP elements, FAI, control plans, inspection planning, and MSA
• Define and validate inspection tools and gauges
• Use SPC data (Cp, Cpk, control charts, etc.) to drive process improvements
• Track supplier KPIs such as DPPM, RMAs, and early‑life failures
• Own corrective and preventive actions with suppliers
• Lead root cause investigations for supplier issues impacting projects
• Develop supplier scorecards and ongoing performance reviews
• Act as the primary quality liaison between the company and suppliers

• 5+ years in Quality or Supplier Quality Engineering
• Experience in steel, roll forming, solar, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC, GD&T, AQL, and ISO 9001
• Experience auditing supplier facilities or processes
• Proficiency with Excel and SPC tools (Minitab preferred)
• Self‑starter mindset and ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong communication and supplier‑facing skills
