We’re looking to add a high‑impact engineer to our team in Nashville. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval. You will be our suppliers’ primary technical contact for your projects. After design approval, you will hand‑off the project to our Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning, supporting them to ensure successful launch.
Your projects will include green‑fields, brown‑fields, and retrofits. The team is responsible for designing fulfillment centers, cross‑dock facilities, specialty facilities (e.g., reverse logistics, hazmat) and ground and air transportation centers throughout North America and Europe. Projects range from template‑based to designed‑from‑scratch.
You will work with a team of highly skilled engineers in a fast‑paced, often ambiguous environment. The team works on hundreds of projects each year, delivering high‑impact, high‑visibility work.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design high‑quality, cost‑effective fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple engineering projects from concept through design approval, serving as primary technical contact for suppliers.
- Manage hand‑off of completed designs to Ops Engineering for installation, commissioning, and launch.
- Apply expertise to green‑field, brown‑field, and retrofit projects across North America and Europe.
- Work on template‑based and custom‑designed facility projects, including fulfillment, cross‑dock, specialty, and transportation centers.
- Provide technical leadership and support to ensure successful system deployment.
- 5+ years of experience in design/innovation, R&D, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing engineering design projects.
- Master’s degree in Engineering (any domain) or related field.
- Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision‑making.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and high‑speed manufacturing.
- Experience with design‑in‑safety principles.
- Experience with process design based on Lean principles.
- Base salary range: $94,300.00 – $ USD annually (TN, Nashville); $99,300.00 – $ USD annually (VA, Arlington).
- Compensation includes sign‑on payments and RSUs, with final package based on experience, qualifications, and location.
