We are looking for a Network Engineer (Level
2) outside of Nashville, TN. He/she must have 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise and HPC networks, including strong hands‑on expertise in Ethernet and NVIDIA/Mellanox Infini Band environments. This role partners closely with customers, vendors, and R&D to design network topologies, resolve complex server and TOR/NIC issues, and ensure scalable, secure, high‑performance network operations.
- Working on designing, configuring, and managing internetworks including ethernet and Mellanox/NVIDIA Infini Band in High Performance Computing environments.
- Troubleshooting server product networking issues between TOR SW, DAC, and NIC.
- Analyze the failures and collaborate with R&D team to find out the root cause.
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
- Monitor network performance and integrity.
- Create, oversee, and test security measures.
- Maintain complete technical documentation.
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Research, implement, install, develop, and maintain all network operations including routers, firewalls, switches, access, servers, and network facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years hands‑on experience with infrastructure engineering with enterprise network technologies including Infini Band networks.
- Strong experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Ethernet and Infini Band networks.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Good understanding of computer systems and other products and services.
- Solid background in network administration and architecture.
- In‑depth understanding of communication and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with access control models and network security.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of network operating systems.
- Professional certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP).
