The Automation Engineer II is responsible for developing and executing key automation solutions at Asurion’s Technical Logistic Center and associated SCM locations. This role ensures current and future automation delivers designed technical and value solutions, leading deployment, support, and continuous improvement of Asurion Supply Chain automated solutions. The engineer acts as a technical expert on automated solutions, providing full understanding of their functionality, interactions with other Asurion Systems, and key performance metrics for the solutions they own.

• Deploy and support automation solutions to improve operational capability and productivity, reduce repair device cost, and win client business.
• Implement and integrate automated solutions into a production environment, ensuring agreed functionality with on‑time cost and delivery.
• Develop dashboards and monitor KPIs, addressing gaps to expected performance.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal customers (Process Engineering, Product Engineering) to drive continuous improvement, new solution implementations, and overall process evolution.
• Develop business cases to obtain approval for automated solutions, track performance against business cases, and validate savings, including overall CAPEX/OPEX spend.
• Act as the internal coordination owner for Level3 support and issue resolution beyond standard maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
• Provide holistic system knowledge for automated interactions across multiple process owners (IT, Operations, Maintenance, external automation vendors/integrators).
• Leverage knowledge of Asurion’s products, processes, and client commitments to anticipate and prevent issues caused by changes or interruptions, working with vendors to mitigate disruption risk.
• Partner with Data Analytics to drive the development and implementation of all Asurion reporting and analysis efforts for vendor monitoring.
• Perform minimal domestic and international travel as required.
• Utilize project management and process improvement skills to support the role.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, or equivalent industry experience with alternate degree; 4+ years’ experience implementing automated solutions in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
• Ability to develop knowledge of Asurion systems, platforms, and processes, and clearly articulate system or process functionality for both internal and external teams.
• Proven knowledge of engineering concepts and demonstrated experience in automation.
• Proficiency in leveraging data appropriately and understanding sensitivity surrounding program metrics; strong analytical skills.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration, bias for action, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret complex instructions, correspondence, legal documents, financial reports, and/or technical documents in English.
