Job SummaryThe Project Scheduler will provide technical assistance in creating and updating CPM schedules at all phases of each project, from conceptual to close‑out. The scheduler coordinates the CPM schedule creation and updates directly with the project superintendent, produces and delivers reports from the CPM schedule to the project team, and may supervise one or more Project Scheduler assistants. The position requires 3‑5 years of CPM scheduling experience in similar construction types.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of claims by analyzing project CPM schedule performance.
- Assist the Project Superintendent with incorporating design conflicts and clarifications into the CPM schedule.
- Manage the CPM schedule for successful execution of work, coordinating means and methods, manpower, equipment, and material resources.
- Conduct CPM schedule review meetings at proposal, baseline, and update phases.
- Create the baseline schedule based on logic and sequencing information from the project superintendent.
- Develop proposal‑phase CPM schedules from estimating team information and historical database.
- Produce a final as‑built CPM schedule upon completion of each project.
- Provide monthly reports to the general manager indicating the status of the CPM schedule for each project.
- Regularly update and maintain the historical CPM schedule database.
- Revise each project CPM schedule weekly based on reports from the superintendent.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Five years or more of CPM scheduling experience in similar construction types.
- Four‑year construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent technical training and experience.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, scheduling systems, negotiations, engineering, and cost‑control schedules.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.).
- Frequent reach above shoulder height and below waist.
- Occasional stoop, kneel, or bend.
- Limited use of telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
- Compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
- Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, etc.
- Frequent use of hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects.
- Frequent interaction with people during a shift.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for the entire duration of a shift.
