Accura Engineering is excited to welcome a skilled and passionate Surveying Project Specialist to our team! In this dynamic role, you will utilize advanced surveying techniques and collaborate with experienced survey and engineering professionals. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of diverse and engaging projects.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Process daily field survey data using Micro Station and/or AutoCAD to produce top-quality survey drawings.
- Work closely with a Professional Land Surveyor to conduct survey and design calculations in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
- Ensure all work meets clients' standards, specifications, and documentation requirements.
- Assist survey team members and actively engage in problem-solving initiatives.
- Interpret engineering documents and digital files for precise application in surveys.
- Collect and reduce field data for hydrographic surveys, GPS networks, lidar data, and UAV data.
- Support the creation of survey deliverables, including models and reports, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
- Stay current with emerging surveying technologies and software to enhance project outcomes.
- Take on additional surveying-related tasks as needed.
Education/
Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Certification in Surveying that qualifies you to sit for licensure examinations in Georgia.
- 5+ years of experience in Land Surveying.
- A desire to obtain a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Georgia.
- Experience with mobile and terrestrial lidar data collection and reduction, UAV data, and hydrographic surveys.
- Familiarity with GPS networks and related data collection techniques.
- Strong grasp of surveying principles and practical applications.
- Experience with GDOT standards and processes.
- Proficiency in GDOT software, including Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, and InRoads.
- Knowledgeable in hydrographic, GPS, lidar, and UAV surveying methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in obtaining FAA Part 107 certification for UAV operation.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Able to manage assigned tasks independently and meet project deadlines.
