Regulatory Compliance Specialist
First American's National Energy Team is expanding and seeking a Renewable Energy Title Specialist to support utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage (BESS), transmission, and infrastructure projects across the United States.
This role will work directly with developers, lenders, attorneys, consultants, and internal title professionals to coordinate title services and support complex renewable energy transactions from initial due diligence through closing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in title insurance, commercial real estate, land services, renewable energy development, right-of-way (ROW), title research, title curative, project coordination, or due diligence.
Responsibilities- Manage title-related activities for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with developers, lenders, surveyors, attorneys, and project stakeholders.
- Review title commitments, title reports, surveys, and supporting project documentation.
- Assist with title review, title curative, ownership verification, and risk identification.
- Support utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, transmission, and other energy infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate project timelines and deliverables across multiple transactions.
- Work closely with internal underwriting, operations, and business development teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service throughout the transaction process.
- Identify potential title issues and assist in developing solutions to facilitate project closings.

- Commercial title insurance
- Renewable energy development

- Right-of-way (ROW)
- Title examination
- Title research
- Title curative
- Commercial escrow
- Due diligence
- Commercial real estate
- Infrastructure projects
- Project management
Additional qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with developers, lenders, attorneys, consultants, or land professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Successful candidates are detail-oriented professionals who enjoy solving complex problems and collaborating with clients and project teams. Experience supporting utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, transmission, pipeline, or other infrastructure projects is highly valued.
